Recently, the PDRM (Polis DiRaja Malaysia) have so many new toys at their disposal, such as the Mitusbishi Lancer Evo-X, and the Volvo S80T.
Well, as you can see... Pretty much they realize their so called Campro Waja can't really do much is chasing down people, but then still many ah beng fancy of their Campro...
Anyway, it is sure feeling good to spend people's money, so called Rakyat's money to buy some new toy for a new year of 2009, riding in new car around, and just pursue down some fellas for some coffee voucher with ease, isn't it?
Let's forget about the Evo-X, it's quite a car... Now we talk about the luxury Volvo S80 2.5T, with turbocharged inline-5 2.5 litre engine, rated at 200HP@4800RPM and 300Nm of torque between 1500-4500RPM and it takes as long as 8 seconds to climb from 0-100km/h. How fast? How slow?
Oh no.. Too fast compared to normal car, but too slow even compared to a properly modded Proton Putra or SGTi, or even compare to VW Golf GTI 2.0, or even non-turbo Civic Type R, and just many properly modded car out there. Come one, a car almost 250k+... Sure it is luxurious enough, but is that practical is so called used to chase down hardcore criminal? Heavy, a 2.5 big engine to even lose to 1.6 and 1.8 alike... And no, even 1.5... A Honda City 0-100km/h in 8.2 seconds, surely they could chase down such City, but still have hard time... So don't even dream others...
So, shame on Volvo? Or shame on PDRM's decision?
