Ipoh Trip (Continuation)

Despite no tournament to be played, the original plans remained. 2 hours of driving just can’t go there for nothing right?

So we check in to Hotel Excelsior, which we have a booking placed in advanced… Out of a flash, Khai Phin remembers that last time our room was 1102, and this time 1103… So I tentatively believe it despite not really got someone remember it, not even Charles.

Settle down everything, took some rest in the room where Peggy busy sms-ing with the person in charge of her part time job while playing some games in her phone regarding “doggy”. Khai Phin took this chance to let his 5800 Express Music to shine what it is good at, by playing music and see if Peggy can recognize even her own idol songs. The outcome, well… Not really a pass lol…

After that, we walked to the Ipoh Parade, just 10 minutes walk from the hotel we staying in. This is where I feel, how low class how undeveloped KL was, it is a lot better than other states such as Ipoh. And so despite nothing out of nothing, my first time movie in Ipoh, GSC Ipoh Parade… Watching Surrogate.

Thank god the movie still ok… And it is now dinner time, so Peggy decided Sushi King… All just normal except the salmon, where only KP took 1 plate, the color just weird. And as for dessert, Peggy got her long awaited Green Tea Ice-Cream.

Followed by some Counter-Strike session, believe me… The cyber cafe there just… Not even I should say it is cyber cafe… = = And it seems KP who adore CT’s M4A1 Colt-Carbine before now switched to allegiance to agree with me, the T’s AK-47.

The session lasts until 10pm+ and when we left, all the main entrance were closed and we need to re-route to exit via basement parking. And by the time we back at the hotel, Peggy already terribly tired. But still “charge up” herself for supper after half an hour rest.

Fortunate enough, there are “Wai Sek Gai” just behind our hotel where we find out last time from security guard, courtesy of Charles. There, Peggy had Kiwi Lolo, KP goes for Mango Lolo, while I go for all time favorite and most of the people sitting there ordered Yam Lolo. Both KP and Peggy go get some fruit rojak while I got myself Wantan Mee. Wait… There still one more, the asam laksa but it never served, forgotten?

And we went back around 12:30am…

And we missed our breakfast the next morning… But it is ok since there are plenty of choices just around our places… But the dim sum there just really so and so… And as Peggy and my suggestion, we went few streets further down again to the place that we’ve been yesterday, for the famous Tau Foo Fa, where even Malays and Indians queue up long beside the street for it… Thanks to Peggy who insists on trying a day earlier… If not we could have missed it. RM0.80 per bowl… Cheap? Maybe… But just 3 small scoop…

And after that we walked back to prepare for check-out…

And before departure…

Ok… Seems like I need to cut my hair and shave my moustache…

And so we embarked our journey home… Where KP received surprise phone call regarding his possible new vehicle, the Perodua Myvi aka “Meevi” Exclusive Edition. What should I say? Not bad not good?

And once again, thanks to Khai Phin and Peggy for making this “quite sudden” trip possible. Hope you all enjoyed… As to Peggy, because always stressing for work. As to Khai Phin, always stressing for assignment and umm, all other problem.
