Today, odd enough… First time I will test drive a Proton… The Neo CPS, along with Mr î Khai Phin.
We got to test the manual version, white in colour.
And as usual, when looking around… Proton interior QC problem is still there as usual. And also, we noticed that the test drive unit fuel tank indicator light is on, which means almost empty. However, we still going to rev it to test around for 2 rounds, with KP driving first, following by me in second round.
Why let KP drives first? Because I will then see how he handles first… So I get to have some preparation.
To make this review short and simple, after both rounds of testing, suspension is stiff enough, BUT still experiencing body roll at high speed, especially when I doing cornering around 80km/h and long curve around 120km/h, but luckily the tyre still good enough to stick on the ground.
Power wise, I would say normal or slightly above average, if compare to normal sedans like Vios and City, due to its hatch and “meant to be sporty” nature, yet it is not any closer to its big brother Satria GTi.
Interior wise, wow… The seat is crap… The door handles are worst, like will break off any seconds, the gear knob like Daytona Arcade Games, steering looks cheap but not quite a concern as luckily it still can turn nicely. Free Live Music is noticeable when driving all along the way.
